2011 Playoff Schedule & Pitching Rotations

The Cleveland Indians had two affiliates make the postseason this year as Triple-A Columbus and High-A Kinston both made it in for a chance to play another week to ten days and win a league championship.

Here are the game schedules for the first round of each of their best-of-five series’:

Columbus

Game 1: Columbus at Durham, Wednesday September 7th 7:05 PM EST
Game 2: Columbus at Durham, Thursday September 8th 7:05 PM EST
Game 3: Durham at Columbus, Friday September 9th 7:05 PM EST
Game 4: Durham at Columbus, Saturday September 10th 7:05 PM EST*
Game 5: Durham at Columbus, Sunday September 11th 5:05 PM EST*

Here is the rotation setup:

Game 1: RHP Zach McAllister
Game 2: RHP Mitch Talbot
Game 3: RHP Joe Martinez
Game 4: RHP Paolo Espino
Game 5: RHP Corey Kluber

If Columbus makes it to the championship round of the playoffs they would begin that series on Tuesday September 13th and on the road for the first two games before coming home for the final three.

If Columbus wins the International League title again, they would play in the Triple-A National Championship Game against the California League champion on Tuesday September 20th. The game will be played in Albuquerque, NM and be played at 8:05 PM EST.

Kinston

Game 1: Kinston at Myrtle Beach, Wednesday September 7th 7:05 PM EST
Game 2: Kinston at Myrtle Beach, Thursday September 8th 7:05 PM EST
Game 3: Myrtle Beach at Kinston, Friday September 9th TBD
Game 4: Myrtle Beach at Kinston, Saturday September 10th TBD*
Game 5: Myrtle Beach at Kinston, Sunday September 11th TBD*

Game 1: RHP Clayton Cook
Game 2: LHP Francisco Jimenez
Game 3: RHP Michael Goodnight
Game 4: LHP Mike Rayl
Game 5: LHP T.J. House

If Kinston makes it to the next round to play for the Mills Cup Championship, they will open on the road in either Potomac or Frederick on Monday September 12th and the first two games will be there before the final three games would be played in Kinston starting on Thursday September 15th.
