Smoke Signals 9/12: Playing out the string edition

Paul Cousineau and I are back on the cyberwaves tonight for some Cleveland Indians baseball talk with another edition of "Smoke Signals" from 11:00 - 11:30 p.m. EST.

After having their playoff hopes dashed last week when the Tigers came into town and swept them, the focus now is finishing out these last 20 games or so of the season and to continue to create momentum going into next season. While the intensity of being in a pennant race is no longer there, there are things to watch as this season wraps up in about two weeks. The Indians are still a young and emerging team, and they have a lot of young players who are playing for jobs next year. Now is the time to get some looks at rookie like Lonnie Chisenhall, Jason Kipnis, Cord Phelps, Nick Hagadone, etc and see who could be an option to help next year. Paul and I will discuss what to watch out for these final few days of the season and who could help increase (or decrease) their stock going into the offseason depending on how they finish.

It has been a rollercoaster ride of a season so far, come on and join us and listen in!  Feel free to call us at 1-949-203-4752 or email us at smokesignals@indiansprospectinsider.com to talk about anything on your mind.

Thanks again for listening!  No matter how things go this year for the Indians we look forward to another fun year talking Tribe!
