Arizona Fall League

The Surprise Rafters are currently 4-7 and in last place (3 teams) of the AFL National Division - 2 games behind the first place Peoria Javelinas.

Player Updates (10/15 - 10/18): -

LHP Chuck Lofgren - Lofgren continues to really struggle in the AFL. Since the last update Lofgren has made two appearances; he worked 0.2 innings on 10/15 allowing 4 runs and he worked 0.1 innings on 10/18 allowing another 4 runs (2 earned). For the season, Lofgren now has a 50.14ERA having worked 2.1 innings allowing 15 runs (13 earned) off 8 hits and 7 walks.

RHP Erik Stiller - Like Stiller said himself on Tony's radio show this week; he had a tough outing in his only appearance since the last update allowing 7 runs (5 earned) in just 0.1IP on 10/16. Stiller now holds a 21.60ERA for the year (3.1IP, 8H, 10R, 8ER, 2BB, 4K).

RHP Josh Tomlin - Tomlin has not appeared since Wednesdays update. He still holds an impressive 1.29ERA over 2 starts (7IP).

RHP Neil Wagner - Wagner worked 1.1 scoreless innings on 10/17 to take his overall ERA down to 3.60 for the season (5IP, 3H, 3R, 2ER, 5BB, 2K).

3B Wes Hodges - Hodges continues to impress so far this fall having recorded a hit in each game since the last update. Hodges was 2-for-5 on 10/15, 1-for-4 on 10/16 and 2-for-4 on 10/18. For the year Hodges holds a .367(11-for-30)/.387/.633/1.020 line with 2 2B, 2HR and 9RBI in 7 games.

1B Beau Mills - Mills continues to see limited playing time against advanced competition; he made on appearance on 10/17 going 2-for-5 with a 2B. Mills has an impressive .357(5-for-14)/.526/.429/.955 line in his limited playing time.

INF Josh Rodriguez - Rodriguez went a combined 0-for-7 between 10/16 & 10/17 to put his overall line at a less than impressive .100(2-for-20)/.250/.100/.350

OF Stephen Head - Head, being on the Taxi squad, does not have an AB since the last update as a result his average still sits at .400 (2-for-5).

Hawaii Winter League

The North Shore Honu have compiled a 1-2 record since the last update and their overall record now sits at 6-11 for the season.

Player Updates (10/15 - 10/18): -

LHP Matt Meyer - Meyer allowed 2 earned runs in 0.1IP on 10/17 to take his overall ERA to 12.00 (6IP, 11H, 11R, 8ER, 5BB, 7K).

LHP Shawn Nottingham - Nottingham allowed 1ER in 1IP in his only appearance since the last update (10/17). His numbers for the season now sit at a 4.50ERA (10IP, 9H, 8R, 5ER, 6BB, 13K).

LHP Heath Taylor - Taylor made a start for the Honu on 10/17 working 4.2 innings allowing 1ER on 6 hits. Taylor now holds a 2.19ERA for the young season (12.1IP, 14H, 4R, 3ER, 4BB, 9K).

C Adam Davis - Davis has made just one appearance since the last update going 0-for-3 to drop his overall average to .125 (3-for-24) in 9 games.

3B Dustin Realini - Still not played since 10/3. 0-for-13 for the season.

INF Ron Rivas - Went 1-for-4 in his only appearance on 10/17 to raise his overall average to .188 (3-for-16) in 6 games played.

OF Matt McBride - McBride was 2-for-5 on 10/16, 0-for-2 with 2BB on 10/17 and 2-for-5 on 10/18 to raise his overall average to .283 (17-for-60) with 6 2B, HR, 14RBI in 16 games.

Elsewhere in Hawaii, Indians 2008 18th round pick LHP Kaimi Mead continues to pitch for the Honolulu Sharks and has worked a scoreless inning since the last update to run his overall record to a 2.70ERA (10IP, 9H, 7R, 3ER, 5BB, 8K).
