Instructional League Recap: 10/9-10/10

I was in camp today to catch the action in the morning with fielding and batting practice and then later in the day for the Instructional League game with the Indians on the road against the Padres in Peoria. I will have a full report of the details from today later tonight/early tomorrow morning. In the meantime, here are the box scores from over the weekend (you'll notice Kipnis at 2B....more on that in my update):

Brightest future Tony, Jordan Henry or Jason Kipnis?

Two different players with different skill sets. Like the skill set Henry has as a leadoff hitter and center fielder.....but Kipnis is glowing right now in Instructs. He is the talk of camp by Indians officials and scouts from other teams.

Good to hear, any real possibility that Kipnis actually sticks at 2nd or is that a pipe dream?

I wasn't sure but a lot of publications have said his ceiling is that of a 4th outfielder, which was strange for someone who some felt could have gone in the first round this year.

Thanks again dude!

Kipnis is staying at 2B. He will go into spring training as a 2B and the plan will be to get him ready to play there next year. He's impressed people inside and outside the organization, to which one NL scout said "he becomes an elite prospect at 2B".
