Smoke Signals: Wedge & More Tonight

The obvious topic of discussion will be about yesterday's announcement that manager Eric Wedge would not be retained past this season. We will talk about the decision to pull the plug on Wedge, discuss who may replace him or what the Indians will be looking for, and also wrap up the talk on a 2009 season that is mercifully coming to an end.

Next week is our final show before taking a break for a short bit, and we will focus mostly on what 2010 may have in store and what bright spots there are to build on for next season. We will also close out the show with an awards presentation minor league style naming and discussing the Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Biggest Disappointment, Biggest Breakthrough, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, etc.
