Around the Farm: January 16

Robinson Tejeda
Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of the daily performances by Indians prospects. This is a special winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Caribbean Leagues.  The positions listed below are where the player was playing in the game.

Here is the rundown of what Indians players in winter ball did yesterday.

Dominican Republic Winter League
  • Robinson Tejeda (RP, Tigres del Licey): 2.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R/ER, 0 BB, 2 K. Tejeda was the tough luck loser as the one run he allowed in the 5th inning put his Licey team down 2-1 and they eventually lost 3-1. He has now made a total of 8 appearances this offseason and in 16.1 innings has allowed 14 runs (12 earned) on 13 hits, 13 walks, and has 15 strikeouts. The high amount of walks and ineffectiveness are a carry over from a poor 2011 where he posted a 6.14 ERA in 9 appearances with the Royals and battled right shoulder inflammation for most of the year.
