Today the Indians outrighted LHP Zach Jackson, LHP Rich Rundles, and LHP RJ Swindle from the 40-man roster and placed them onto the Triple-A Columbus roster.  The 40-man roster is now at 36 players, with RHP Jake Westbrook and RHP Anthony Reyes still not included as they are still on the 60-day DL.
This is just the first of several more moves that will be made in the coming days to clear space on the 40-man roster this offseason, where the Indians could end up with as many as seven to eight open spots to add players from their farm system or via trade/free agency.

Wow, three lefties off of the 40-man... not that I didn't expect it, just interesting to see it all at once.
Do all of these guys become minor league free agents?
i was surprised rundles was on the 40 man all season. he only was called up once and i dont even believe he logged an inning.
as for jackson, did he even get called up this season?
Yeah, Rundles pitched here, I was at that game... it was the Tampa Bay game on Memorial Day, you know, we were losing 10-0, ended up winning 11-10!
Zach pitched here too.
Anyway, once Reyes is cleared to pitch, he should be released also, MHO.
Let's not waste anymore time on him.
