Scrappers salvage game three, beat Renegades, 4-2
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers beat the Hudson Valley Renegades 4-2 Tuesday night to win the final game of this three-game set and snap a four-game losing streak. Diego Seastrunk's RBI double in the bottom of sixth eventually became the difference putting the Scrappers on top for good at 3-2. Jordan Casas tacked on a run with a RBI single.
Dale Dickerson came in from the bullpen and picked up his second win of the pitching just 0.1 innings. Joey Diettrich got the loss for the Renegades. It was his fourth of the 2010 season. Clayton Ehlert came in and picked up his second save pitching three scoreless innings and striking out five.
The Scrappers, who are now 11-14 on the season, head to Brooklyn for a three-game series to take on the Cyclones starting Wednesday. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
Note: Columbus and Akron are off for the All Star break, and Kinston and Lake County had scheduled off days.
