High-A Kinston right-handed pitcher Alex White has been promoted to Double-A Akron.
White went 2-3 with a 2.86 ERA in eight starts for the K-Tribe this season. His 2.86 ERA is currently the fifth lowest in the Carolina League and his .204 batting average against is the third lowest in the league (second among starters). hE gave up just 14 earned runs in 44 innings of work for Kinston, striking out 41. In his last start for Kinston on Tuesday he gave up just one earned run on three hits over six innings to pick up the win against Salem.
For the time being, White takes the roster spot of Akron third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall who has been put on the disabled list with a sore shoulder..

I like this news. White looks AA ready to me. While I see Chisenhall is the short term, I expect a RH reliever to be cut.
Nice to see Burns moved as well. Can we assume Mahalic to the starting rotation or a less likely move, IMO, of Chris Jones?
No idea who moves into the rotation in Kinston, but I think you have it narrowed down correctly on Mahalic/Jones. I think it will likely be Mahalic.
