Around the Farm: November 14

Tyler Sturdevant
Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of the daily performances by Indians prospects. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Arizona Fall League (AFL) and the Caribbean Leagues.  The positions listed below are where the player was playing in the game.

Here is the rundown of what Indians players in fall and winter ball did yesterday. The Australian Baseball League was off and there were just two total games in all the Caribbean Leagues.

Arizona Fall League
  • Carlos Moncrief (RF): 0-for-2. Moncrief’s time in the AFL has been short as he has played in just 6 games and has only 2 hits in 16 at bats. He also has a very good .391 OBP but a poor .125 SLG.
  • Tyler Sturdevant (RP): 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K. This may have been Sturdevant’s best outing this fall as he pitched a clean 1-2-3 inning with 2 strikeouts and made just 12 pitches (9 strikes).
Venezuelan Winter League
  • Ezequiel Carrera (CF, Navegantes del Magallanes): 2-for-4, R, 3B, 1 K. After dipping below .300 for the first time this fall after his last game, Carrera responded with a 2-hit effort. He also ripped his third triple in 14 games.
