Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of the daily performances by Indians prospects. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Arizona Fall League (AFL) and the Caribbean Leagues. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in the game.
Here is the rundown of what Indians players in fall and winter ball did yesterday. Note, no Indians played for the Dominican.
Arizona Fall League
Carlos Moncrief (LF): 0-for-2, 2 K. Moncrief’s third game in the AFL and he is still looking for his first hit as he is just 0-for-8 so far, though he does have 3 walks.
Chad Huffman (1B): 0-for-3, 2 K. Huffman hasn't been particularly impressive this far, either, with an average of just .218.
Venezuelan Winter League
Juan Apodaca (C):1-for-3. Apodaca has gone 3-for-18 to start the off-season.
Luis Valbuena (2B) 1-for-4, R, HR, 2 RBI. Attempting to revive his career, Valbuena is fairing decently thus far.
Rob Bryson (RP) 0.1 IP, H. Although he was in for a brief stint, he did pick up the hold.
