As Indians Farm Director Ross Atkins alluded to this week (check out today's Minor Happenings posted earlier), High-A third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall has been promoted to Double-A Akron.
The 2008 first round draft pick of the Cleveland Indians leaves the Carolina League ranked in the top five in six different offensive categories. Chisenhall leads the Carolina League in RBI (79), is second in extra-base hits (46), third in home runs (18) and slugging percentage (.492), fourth in doubles (26) and fifth in hits (107). The Carolina League All-Star and two-time Carolina League Player of the Week ends his K-Tribe career with a .276 batting average in 99 games played.

Tony, I'm headed to Akron tonight... he won't be there already will he?
Great to hear. It's about time. Best of luck to him!
Chisenhall in the lineup batting 6th tonight
talk about mastering the level....too bad it took an injury of a player who also deserved a promotion to make it happen
