For the second time this season Eastern North Carolina Native Lonnie Chisenhall is the Carolina League Player of the Week. The West Carteret High School alum had another monster week, hitting .533 (16-30), with two home runs, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored and a slugging percentage of .900. This is the second time this year Chisenhall is the Carolina League Player of the Week. He first grabbed the honor for the week of April 20th – 26th. A K-Triber has been awarded all four Carolina League Player of the Week honors given this season. (Brown, Chisenhall, McBride, Chisenhall).
The Pitt Community College product is currently hitting .333 on the season, the sixth best batting average in the Carolina League. Chisenhall has racked up 32 RBI this year, the fourth most in all of Minor League Baseball and second in the Carolina League. Chisenhall is second in the Carolina League in hits (41), fourth in runs (24) and fifth in slugging (.545).
