Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Monday November 15th:
- Cord Phelps - 3B, Peoria Javelinas: 3-for-4, R, HR, RBI, K. Phelps provided almost all of the offense for a Javelinas team that piled up just 1 run on 6 hits. There is lots to like in his time so far in the AFL as he has handled 3B well, is hitting for a high average, is showing some pop at the plate, has more walks than strikeouts, and has even stolen a few bases. He's done it all and has done about all one can do this season to raise his value in the eyes of the organization. It has almost been a perfect showing for him in the AFL and this season as a whole.
- Jerad Head - DH, Gigantes de Carolina: 0-for-3, BB. Head down to a .258/.383/.455 line, which is still solid, but he is in the midst of a 4-for-23 stretch his last six games.
