Around the Farm: November 9

Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Tuesday November 9th:
  • Eric Berger - RP, Peoria Javelinas: 2.0 IP, 1 H, 2 R (1 ER), 2 BB, 4 K. Berger allows his first earned run in his 7th game, though had been walking a fine line in almost every appearance. He has only allowed 4 hits in 8.0 innings, but also has allowed 7 walks with 8 strikeouts.
  • Roberto Perez - C, Peoria Javelinas: 0-for-4, 3 K. Ouch, another rough game for Perez at the plate. Now hitting .139/.184/.167 with 10 K in 36 AB.
  • Juan Apodaca - C, Aguilas del Zulia: 1-for-3, BB, K. Apodaca got his customary one start for the week, and got on base in two of his four trips to the plate.
  • Jerad Head - 1B, Gigantes de Carolina: 0-for-4, K. An off night for Head who has really had a solid season out in Puerto Rico. In 12 games he is hitting .302/.404/.535 with 2 HR and 11 RBI.
  • Omar Aguilar - RP, Senadores de San Juan: 2.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 K. His second appearance was much better than his first appearance which was a disaster. In two games he has allowed 6 hits and 2 walks in 2.1 innings.
  • Luke Carlin - C, Aguilas Cibaenas: 0-for-3. Carlin has been relegated to backup duty and is just 1-for-17 in 10 games. He does have 7 walks which actually give him an okay .333 on-base%.
  • Matt McBride - LF-1B, Gigantes del Cibao: 1-for-5, K. Has now hit in 7 straight games and in his last 10 games overall is hitting .324/.439/.706.
  • Lucas Montero - PH-LF, Gigantes del Cibao: 0-for-1. Late game pinch hit appearance. Free agent outfielder hitting .222/.323/.296 in 12 games.
