Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Sunday November 7th:
- Lucas Montero - LF, Gigantes del Cibao: 0-for-4, 2 K. Montero got a chance to start his third straight game and hit out of the leadoff spot. Still has only played in 8 games and has 18 at bats.
- Matt McBride - RF, Gigantes del Cibao: 1-for-3, BB, K. McBride's four game homer streak comes to an end, but he continues his hitting streak as he has now hit in 6 straight games.
- Luis Valbuena - 3B, Cardenales de Lara: 1-for-4, RBI, 2 BB, K. Pop the champagne and drop the confetti. Valbuena broke an 0-for-24 skid with a single in the 8th inning.
- Ezequiel Carrera - CF, Navegantes del Magallanes: 0-for-3, R, BB, CS. Quiet day for Carrera who after a sizzling start has really struggled in his last ten games out in Venezuela going 7-for-36 (.194 AVG) with a .578 OPS.
- Luke Carlin - PH-C, Aguilas Cibaenas: 0-for-1, BB. Carlin was a late inning replacement getting a pinch hit opportunity and then stayed in the game at catcher. Still hitless in 13 at bats in the Dominican Republic.
