Farm team assigned to: None. Recknagel dislocated his left elbow in the college regionals right before the draft and the plan is for him to go to Winter Haven and rehab it and then go to the Instructional League in Arizona.

Role at Michigan this year: First base/catcher

Bonus: in the typical senior range ($1,000-3,000)

Interesting fact: Played with 7th round pick Tim Fedroff. His comment: "When I first saw Fedroff he was a small guy and I couldn't tell what kind of ball player he was going to be. Then I saw him in BP and he showed he is a strong guy with big arms. He is really fast and has a strong arm. He is a good ballplayer."

On Michigan vs Ohio State and the Indians moving their AAA team to Columbus: "I really didn't get into the football rivalry that much. Maybe if I make it to Columbus they won't know I went to Michigan."

He said: "Tell the fans I will work hard and make a positive contribution "
