Around the Farm takes a quick look at some of yesterday's performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. The positions listed below are where the player played in yesterday's game.
Beau Mills-1B, Akron: 3-5, 2B, RBI, 2 BB, K. Hey, a Beau Mills sighting! Quietly hitting .333 over his last 10 games, Mills is coming off of his best month of the season in which he posted a .950 OPS. Injuries limited Mills to just 37 at bats in June, but he's been healthy and hitting since then. His OPS on the season is still just .690, but that's a lot better than it was going into the month of July.

- Paulo Espino-SP, Columbus: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 4 K. Solid AAA debut for Espino, going 7 innings without walking a batter. A shame he got the no-decision.
- Zach Putnam-RP, Columbus: 2 IP, H, K. Bouncing back from a rough outing on Saturday
- Jose Constanza-OF, Columbus: 2-5, 2 1B. The #9 hitter in the order was the only one with more than 1 knock yesterday. Up to .302 on the season.
- Alex White-SP, Akron: L, 5 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 2 K, 2 BB. Took the loss in the 7-inning game of the doubleheader. Recent ability to miss bats deserted him yesterday; ERA still under 2.
- Matt Packer-SP, Akron: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 R (1 ER), 6 K, BB. It was a day of solid pitching debuts, as Packer got the ND for the Aeros despite pitching very well in his first outing at AA.
- Jason Kipnis-2B, Akron: 4-7, 3B, 2 RBI, BB, R, K. Two hits in each game of the doubleheader.
- T.J. McFarland-SP, Kinston: L, 2 1/3 IP, 6 H, 5 R (4 ER), 3 K, BB. Rough start for McFarland, who took his first loss since June 17.
- Joe Mahalic-SP, Kinston: W, 6 IP, 2 H, BB, 8 K. Dominating start for Mahalic, who is not typically a big strikeout guy.
- Corey Burns-RP, Kinston: S, IP, 2 K. Burns pitched a perfect frame for his league-leading 20th save of the season.
- Abner Abreu-OF, Kinston: 2-7, 2B, RBI, 3 K. Since his 3 BB explosion on July 27, Abreu has yet to draw a free pass.
- Jose Flores-RP, Lake County: 2 IP, H, 4 K. Solid outing to close out the 13-7 win for the Captains.
- Argenis Martinez-2B, Lake County: 3-5, 3B, RBI, 2 R. Five hits in last three games to get over the Mendoza Line.
- Jason Smit-OF, Lake County: 2-4, 2B, 3 RBI, BB. Second game in a row with two hits for Smit.
- Henry Dunn-OF, AZL Indians: 1-3, HR (3), 3 RBI, R. Second HR in AZ for 50th round draft pick out of Binghamton U in 2010; batting just .180 in 89 AB.
- Erik Gonzalez-3B, DSL Indians: 2-5, RBI, K. Hitting .345 overall in the DSL; was selected to the mid-season DSL All Star team.
