While not official, the Indians supposedly are close to signing or have already signed former Baltimore minor league pitching prospect LHP Bobby Livingston. He was cut recently from their Double-A Bowie roster, and conveniently the Indians Double-A Akron team is in town where it appears he will slot for now.
So why is this potential signing noteworthy? Well, considering the lack of pitching options in High-A Kinston to promote to Akron, this seems to imply that one of the pitchers in Akron may be going up to Triple-A Columbus. Also, it is possible this may create a domino effect where someone may be going from Columbus to Cleveland (or may be released).
Considering Livingston is a starting pitcher, making 12 starts for Bowie and three starts for Tripe-A Norfolk this year, he may be slotting into the Akron rotation to allow for the calllup of RHP Hector Rondon to Columbus.

Saarloos, Cassel, Ray... fight to the death for your rotation spot... and all lose.
Hector Rondon is scheduled to start tonight for Akron in Bowie in game one of their doubleheader.
