2010 Tony Awards: All-Tony Team

We wrap up the 2010 Tony Awards today with the announcement of the All-Tony teams for 2010.

These are the first and second teams as I see them in the Cleveland Indians organization based on their performance this past year.  Note, this is not a top prospect listing by position, but a listing based on performance only from the past season. Players acquired in the recent July/August trades were not eligible to be listed, and for full season teams a player had to have spent at least a half season in the minors (so for an example no Carlos Santana).

As a quick recap, here were the Tony Award winners this year:

Offensive Player of the Year: Jason Kipnis
Pitcher of the Year: Joe Gardner
Reliever of the Year: Cory Burns
Defensive Player of the Year: Roberto Perez
Comeback Player of the Year: Jared Goedert
Rookie of the Year: Felix Sterling
Biggest Breakthrough: Matt Packer
Biggest Disappointment: Beau Mills

Just to reiterate, these awards were simply for fun and to hand out at the end of the year.  Also, the Cleveland Indians in no way whatsoever had any input in these awards.

Your sense of humor is incredible. Nothing like throwing defense and youth under a bus at 3B for an old player with a two month hot streak. Kudos for the laughs from everyone.

Yeah, again, if I am basing these listings on potential and prospect status, they would look a lot different. But, the only thing considered was the performance (stats). It's just for fun and in no way states who is a better prospect than another....just who had a better statistical season.
