Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Monday October 25th. Note, the Dominican Winter League and Venezuelan Winter League were both off on Monday as no games were scheduled:
Cord Phelps - 3B, Peoria Javelinas: 1-for-4, R, 2B, 2 BB, 1K, 2 E. Phelps with another good night at the plater reaching base three times in six at bats, but committed two errors at third base (one fielding, one throwing). He now has three errors at third base in four games at third base.
Chen Lee - RP, Peoria Javelinas: 1.0 IP, 2, H, 1 R/ER, 0 BB, 2 K, BS. Lee got the save opportunity in the 9th but could not close out the one-run save. He has allowed at least one earned run in three of his four appearances in the AFL.
Jerad Head - LF, Gigantes de Carolina: 1-for-3, R, 2 RBI, BB, E. Head got into his third game and knocked in his first two runs of the winter season, though committed an error fielding a ball in left field.

Not surprising that Phelps is having some early issues at 3rd. Through college I always played numerous infield positions between starts, and clearly 3rd was the one position that offers the hardest adjustment and longest transition time. It honeslty takes 50 or so games to begin to get some level of comfort started, IMHO.
