Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Wednesday October 27th:
- Jason Kipnis - 3B, Peoria Javelinas: 1-for-4, R, BB. Kipnis once again gets another start at 3B. The bat is still struggling as in 9 games he is hitting .171/.237/.457.
- Roberto Perez - C, Peoria Javelinas: 0-for-3, BB, K. Still struggling at the plate, but showcasing his defense and good catch-and-throw skills gunning down both attempted base-stealers.
- Adam Abraham - DH, Peoria Javelinas: 1-for-3, BB, K. Abraham gets a chance to hit with the taxi squad active, and continues to hold his own. In four games he is now 5-for-15 at the plate with 3 walks.
- Luke Carlin - C, Aguilas Cibaenas: 0-for-2. Carlin once again was a late game sub but still continues to do little offensively.
- Josh Judy - RP, Aguilas Cibaenas: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. Judy made he third appearance this winter, and has yet to allow a run, hit or walk.
- Jerad Head - LF, Gigantes de Carolina: 2-for-5, R, K. Now four straight games with a hit, and his first multi-hit game in five games player in Puerto Rico.
- Juan Apodaca - C, Aguilas del Zulia: 2-for-6, 2B, RBI, CS. Backup catcher in Venezuela Winter League gets chance to play.
- Ezequiel Carrera - CF, Navegantes del Magellanes: 1-for-3, K. Carrera now upt to a hitting line of .318/.375/.432 in 11 games played in Venezuela.
- Luis Valbuena - SS, Cardenales de Lara: 0-for-4. Valbuena gets some action at short and takes the collar which ends his modest five game hitting streak.
- Jared Goedert - 1B, Leones del Caracas: 1-for-3, BB, K, SB. Goedert had last played on October 23rd, so good to see him back in the lineup after a brief three day absence.
