Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Wednesday October 20th:
- Cord Phelps - 3B, Peoria Javelinas: 2-for-4, R, RBI, 2 BB, K, SB. Phelps played an errorless third base fielding all five groundballs hit his way, and even started a 5-4-3 double play in the ninth inning. He also displayed his on-base skills getting on base in four out of six plate appearances and swiped his second base in three games.
- Adam Abraham - DH, Peoria Javelinas: 1-for-4, R, RBI, 2 BB, K. With the taxi-squad active on Wednesday, Abraham was given a chance to play and give some regulars a much needed day off. He is more than holding his own so far with three hits in eight at bats.
- Roberto Perez - C, Peoria Javelinas: 2-for-5, K. Perez had one defensive miscue in the first inning with a passed ball, but other than that he was great all game gunning down two of four base-stealers. He even chipped in offensively with a couple hits.
