Luke Carlin-C, Columbus: 3-for-4, 1 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI: Luke Carlin came over to the Tribe in an August deal, then re-signed to a minor league deal prior to this season. Carlin added needed depth to the organization at the position at the time, and is paying off in a big way now. The 29-year-old provides the Tribe some insurance should Carlos Santana or Lou Marson have any sort of blip, Carlin stands ready. His stat line is currently at .381/.519/.524. Not to bad for a guy added for depth.
Jerad Head-LF, Columbus: 2-for-4, 2 R, 2 HR, 4 RBI: Head is currently making his name as a super-utility player in the organization. In his career in the minors, he's played every position in a game except catcher, and he can play that as well. He currently resides in the outfield, but to make the big club, he'll need to use all his tools. Head blasted two out, including the game winner, and has three total. Head may get swallowed up in a deep organization, but he has skills, and he's showing them all.
- Ezequiel Carrera-PH/CF, Columbus: 1 BB, 2 SB: Carrera started the game like a house of fire. He walked, stole second, and then third. He had to leave the game with an injured arm, so he'll be worth keeping an eye on, healthwise.
- David Huff-SP, Columbus: 5.0 IP, 1 H, 2 R/0ER, 4 BB, 5 K: Huff didn't dominate, and he struggled with his control, but only gave up one hit, and lowered his ERA to 2.12. Just waiting for a call-up, now that Talbot is on the DL.
- Zach Putnam-RP, Columbus: 2.0 IP, 1 BB, 1 K, W (2-0): Putnam has gone more than an inning in all four appearances, and has only given up one earned run so far. Someone to keep an eye on.
- Jordan Henry-CF, Akron: 2-for-5, 1 R, 1 H, 1 SB: Henry was his consistent self in the double-header. It will be easy to overlook Henry, but he's a fantastic defender, and as fast as they come.
- Donnie Webb-LF/DH, Akron: 3-for-6, 1 SB: While Webb isn't as good as Henry, he's the same type of outfielder.
- Matt Langwell-RP, Akron: 2/3 IP, 2 H, 1 R/ER, L (0-1): Langwell started off last season like a house of fire. This season, he's pitched well, but not dominant. His ERA is still 2.25, so we'll see.
- Matt Packer-SP, Akron: 5 IP, 5 H, 5 R/3 ER, 2 K, 2 HR, L (0-1): Packer has struggled after bursting on the scene last year. He wasn't horrible today, but the long ball did him in.
- Adam Abraham-3B, Kinston: 2-for-3: There haven't been many bright spots for the K-Tribe offense, but Abraham is one of them. Maybe the only one.
- Alex Lavisky-C, Lake County: 2-for-4, 2 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI: Lavisky is waking up after struggling early this season. He's 4 for his last 9, with three runs, two homers and six RBI.
- Alex Monsalve-DH, Lake County: 2-for-4, 1 R, 1 RBI: Monsalve is riding a five-game hitting streak, and has back-to-back multi-hit games.
- Tyler Cannon-2B, Lake County: 1-for-4, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 SB: Cannon continues to produce, and currently has an eight-game hitting streak.

Huff has been pitching well enough that he should be called up. More upside and he is a lefty. Would be better for the future if he could become 3-4th starter. With all the pitchers in the system we really might only need him to be a 5th guy. Would be nice to have a young lefty with upside at the bottom of the rotation for the next few years.
