The K-Tribe Chronicle: Offensive doldrums

(Photo: Kinston Indians)
Watching the Cleveland Indians organization over the past ten days has made covering the Kinston Indians organization downright painful. Most Tribe fans have been riding the wave of not only a potent offense, but a pitching staff that is straight outta the Twilight Zone. Seriously, if you squint hard enough, you'd almost think you were staring at the 1954 Indians rotation square in the face.

Call me spoiled, but the Kinston Indians just haven't been able to keep up with the organization. Kinston stands at 2-7, and offensively, they've been downright offensive. Still, it's early, and the K-Tribe does have some solid talent. Will it be enough to get them back in the thick of the first half race, or will we be dreaming of the second half already. Let's get driving, before I start dreaming of Lake County call-ups.

The Rearviewmirror:

It's time to get rid of this ridiculous pattern of solid pitching, and weak hitting.  It's time for this club to get to it on the offensive side.  Give in and let Holt, Greenwell, Abreu and Toole wreak some havoc on the basepaths.  These four could all roll out 20 or more SB, if they were given the go ahead.  If they get in the heads of the pitchers, this offense will take off.
