Shortstop Ronny Rodriguez had a nine game hitting streak snapped on the 20th vesus Quad Cities. The next day, he collected a hit and raised his average from .229 to .240 over the course of the hitting streak.
Outfielder Brian Heere's eight game hitting streak was snapped on Friday night versus Peoria. But, he has been on-base in 19 straight games.
Carlos Moncrief has had a power surge this week. The outfielder blasted four homeruns this week and now has 10 total on the season. Moncrief has hit very well since being re-inserted as the Captains lead-off batter.
After having a hot June, Nick Bartolone has struggled in July. He is hitting .204 (through July 21st) and continues to struggle at the plate.
In two games versus Quad Cities, the Captains have scored 19 runs. But the River Bandits have scored 30. The Captains have totaled 28 hits in the two games.

Dale Dickerson continues to be solid out of the 'pen. He may have had a little hiccup this week (in terms of runs), but he is one of Ted Kubiak's most reliable relievers. For the season, Dickerson has a 2.06 ERA in 43.2 innings pitched.
Cole Cook lost his 10th game of the season; a 15-3 blowout versus Quad Cities. Cook gave up five earned runs in just four innings of work. He also gave up four homeruns to River Bandit hitters.
Kirk Wetmore did not have a good week. In two starts, Wetmore gave up 14 runs (13 were earned) in 8.1 innings pitched (ERA: 14.44).
Jordan Cooper made a spot start for J.D. Reichenbach on Sunday, and got off to a rough start. Cooper gave up a first inning grand slam. Cooper finished with four innings, allowed four runs on five hits, walking two and striking out three.
