RHP Bryce Stowell has been promoted from Lake County to Kinston. The 22-year-old Stowell is making his Kinston Indians debut tonight vs. Wilmington. Stowell is a La Habra, California native and went to school at UC Irvine. Cleveland selected him in the 22nd round of the 2008 draft, and Stowell got his first minor league action this season at Low-A Lake County. Stowell has appeared in three games for the Captains, posting a 0-0 record with a 1.00 ERA in nine innings. He’s struck out 15 batters and allowed just four hits. He made his only start on May 29, lasting three innings, while surrendering no runs, one hit, three walks and striking out six.
Taking Stowell's place on the Lake County roster is LHP Chris Jones. He should move into the starting rotation.
