Aubrey Traded

Today, the Indians traded first baseman Michael Aubrey to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for a player to be named later. At Triple-A Columbus, Aubrey was hitting .292 (62-for-212) with 27 runs scored, 16 doubles, a triple, 5 HR and 29 RBI in 57 games. With Matt LaPorta and Jordan Brown, as well as the soon to be returning Stephen Head all vying for time at first base, this move was necessary. Plus it gives Aubrey a chance with a new team that maybe is not so clogged at first base.

Kind of ironic this is the same team Guthrie got a new chance with.

Next up, Andy Marte, come on down...
