Around the farm takes a quick look at yesterday's performances from prospects throughout the system. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday's game.
Quick one today as I'm headed down to Woodbridge to check out the playoff-bound K-Tribe take on the Potomac Nationals this afternoon.
- Cord Phelps-2B, Columbus: 1-5, 2B, 2 K. Back in the starting lineup, and in the field after mostly DH'ing or pinch hitting lately.
- Jared Goedert-3B, Columbus: 1-4, 2B, 2 RBI, K. Goedert now has 83 RBI between Akron and Columbus to go with 27 HR.
- Jose Constanza-OF, Columbus: 3-5, SB, K. Constanza has hit in 8 of his last 10, putting up a line of .381/.447/.524 over that span. He has 34 stolen bases on the season for the Clips.
- Eric Berger-SP, Akron: 5 IP, H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 9 K. The Sea Wolves had plenty of trouble hitting Berger last night, but he had some trouble finding the plate as well with 4 walks.
- Chen Lee-RP, Akron: 2 IP, H, 2 K. Lee now has 82 K in 72 IP for Akron on the season.
- John Drennen-OF, Akron: 3-4, 2 2B, BB. Big night for Drennen, who now has an OPS of 1.009 over his last 10 games.
- Joe Gardner-SP, Kinston: 5 1/3 IP, 2 H, 2 R (1 ER), K, 4 BB. Gardner's ability to induce groundballs has allowed him to limit the damage from his walks lately, but they remain a concern. He's now walked 9 in his last 10 1/3 IP, and struck out 6.
- Austin Adams-SP, Kinston: 5 IP, 4 H, ER, 7 K, 2 BB. Adams has won his last two starts, striking out 13 in 10 IP.
- Abner Abreu-OF, Kinston: 2-6, 3B, 3 RBI, 2 K. Abreu went 2-4 with a triple in the 2nd game of yesterday's doubleheader.
- Bo Greenwell-OF, Kinston: 4-4, HR (2), 3B, 3 RBI, R. Huge day for Greenwell as he powered the K-Tribe past Potomac in the 2nd game yesterday.
- Chun Chen-C, Kinston: 3-6, 2B, BB, K. Chen has hit in 8 of his last 10, and thrown up a 1.229 OPS.
- Anthony Dischler-SP, Mahoning Valley: 3 IP, 2 H, 1 R (0 ER), 3 K, BB. Dischler has yet to give up an earned run in his two appearances for the Scrappers.
- Gio Urshela-DH, Mahoning Valley: 2-5, RBI. Urshela has hits in 6 of his last 8 games since getting back into the lineup from injury.
