Around the Farm takes a quick look at some of yesterday's performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday's game.
Mike Rayl - SP, Lake County: 7 IP, H, 0 ER/0 R, 0 BB, 11 K
One of the most impressive starts from a pitcher on any level of the Indians farm system this season. Rayl dominated hitters and pitched his best game as a professional. Give the guy credit though, he's really snuck under the radar this season and has been solid in his first six starts. In his first six starts this season, he's pitched a combined 30.1 innings, giving up 17 hits, eight runs (seven earned), while surrendering nine walks and striking out 31 batters. He's also held opposing batters to a .160 average. The Captains can't have asked for a better start from Rayl.

- Jordan Henry - CF, Akron: 1-4, R, RBI, BB, K. One of the Indians most underrated prospects, Henry may not be flashy or have power, but he's a polished player and could end up as the Indians fourth outfielder one day.
- Matt McBride - 1B, Akron: 2-4, R, HR, 2 RBI. One guy who has in some ways suffered from the ridiculous amount of depth the organization has is McBride. He's also a man without a position, really. It's a shame, he's a solid player.
- Nick Hagadone - RP, Akron: 2.1 IP, 3 H, K. Hagadone only struck out one batter and gave up three hits? Must have been a bad game! All joking aside, the guy has been lights out this year. He also picked up his second win on the season
- Matt Langwell - RP, Akron: IP, 2K. Flying a bit under the radar, Langwell has been a reliable arm out of the 'pen for the Aeros this season, sporting a 1.13 ERA in the early going.
- Cory Burns - CP, Akron: IP, 3 K. Typical Burns performance, nothing to see here. Picked up his eighth save on the year.
- Abner Abreu - CF, Kinston: 2-4, R, 2B, 2 RBI, K. Don't look now, but Abreu is starting to heat up and has improved his average to .271.
- Dan DeGeorge - 2B, Kinston: 2-4, R, 3B, RBI. For a player who is nothing but really an organizational stop gap player, DeGeorge has been a reliable player who has been able to fill in wherever the Indians have needed him to.
- TJ House - RP/SP, Kinston: 6 IP, H, 1 R/0 ER, 4 BB, 4 K. Kind of an odd situation that happened, House didn't start the game and was actually the third pitcher to appear for the K-Tribe, but he definitely turned in a better outing than his past few.
- Adam Miller - RP, Kinston: IP, H, BB, K. We have an Adam Miller sighting. After his disastrous first outing, he's bounced back and is beginning to adjust.
- Giovanny Urshela - 3B, Lake County: 2-4. Every time you watch this kid play, you come away impressed.
- Tyler Cannon - LF, Lake County: 2-3, 2 2B, BB. Cannon has done everything asked of him to this point and then some. He's been quite a spark to the Captains offense so far this season.
- Alex Lavisky - C, Lake County: 2-4, R, RBI. What's the one stat you don't see in his the box score today? A strike out. A job well done, Alex!
