Double-A Akron outfielder Tim Fedroff was named the Eastern League's Player of the Week for the period ending May 16-22. For the week he hit .583 (14-24) with 2 2B, 1 3B, 5 RBI, 8 runs scored, 2 stolen bases, 4 BB, and a .750 slugging percentage. He had four multi-hit games during the week and extended his hitting streak to 16 games, which is the second longest streak in the Eastern League this season. He is hitting a league-best .437 during the month of May with 14 RBI and 11 runs scored, and leads the Eastern League in batting (.376), is tied for second in hits (53) and is tied for third in on-base percentage (.423).
