In the 13th round, the Cleveland Indians select: RHP Jeremy Johnson - Washington St.
5'11" 185 lbs.
UPDATE (2:23 PM EST): Jeff Ellis
Jeremy Johnson is a right handed junior at Washington State University. He is a redshirt junior after sitting out 2008 with an injury. He has worked primarily out of the pen for the Cougars. He had a good junior year and was named to the college baseball foundations watch list for pitcher of the year. He averaged over a strikeout per inning this year and had a 6:1 strikeout to walk rate. He has experience closing and we continue to see the Indians commitment to the pen in this years draft.
