Cory Burns is a right handed senior from Arizona. He was ranked 37th in the state of Arizona. He changed his approach to pitching this season. Until this year had had been over the top, but this season he changed to sidearm. His fastball has whiffle ball like movement that makes to hard to square on the pitch. The pitch sits in the mid to late 80's. He also has a decent slider and change. He is a pen guy, only had one start in all of college and with his age and experience might be a guy who can move quickly through the system. He struck out more than a batter an inning but did have some trouble with walks. He seems a bit in the Randy Newsom vein.
