Preston Guilmet is a right handed senior from Arizona. The Indians seem to be loving the state of Arizona as 1/3 of their picks are from there. Last year Guilmet was a 2nd round pick of the A’s. He is ranked 17th best in the state of Arizona by Baseball America. He had a 3:1 strikeout to walk rate and struck out over a hitter an inning. He has a fastball that sits in the late 80’s and has both a slider and a split finger fastball which he uses as out pitches. He adds more starting pitching depth. Junior year not as strong as his senior year, but seems to be a command pitcher with a good feel.
