Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Tuesday December 14th:
  • Jerad Head - RF, Gigantes de Carolina: 3-for-6, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI, BB. Head broke an 0-for-10 streak with a big night at the plate, his first really productive night in over 3 weeks. He has now played in 33 games out in Puerto Rico and has had a solid showing hitting .258/.372/.442 with 4 HH and 21 RBI.
  • Ezequiel Carrera - CF, Navegantes del Magallanes: 1-for-3, K. Carrera has now hit in 4 straight games, but is just 5--for-23 (.217) in his last 10 games. While offense is not his strong suit, he has a solid approach (17 BB, 16 K), steales bases (8 SB), and plays excellent defense.
  • Asdrubal Cabrera - SS, Leones del Caracas: 1-for-4, 2 R, BB. Cabrera has now hit in 8 of his last 9 games going 12-for-40 (.300) over that span. After a rough start his first 5 games with no walks and 6 strikeouts he has a much better ration with 5 walks and 6 strikeouts in his last 10 games.
