Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Wednesday December 22nd:
  • Yohan Pino - RP, Tigres de Aragua: 1.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R/ER, 2 BB, 2 K. Pino struggled in his fifth outing out in Venezuela, easily his worst outing to date. Even with his small sample size, he has been solid overall as he has allowed 7 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks, 0 home runs, and 6 strikeouts in 8.0 innings.
  • Jayson Nix - 3B, Senadores de San Juan: 0-for-4, K. While he continues to hold his own defensively at third base, Nix continues to struggle out in Puerto Rico at the plate as he is now just 5-for-38 in 11 games for a batting line of .132/.214/.158.
  • Roberto Perez - C, Indios de Mayaguez: 0-for-1. Perez was a late game substitution and fly out to end the game in the 9th inning in his only at bat.
