Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Thursday December 2nd:
- Jayson Nix - 3B, Senadores de San Juan: 0-for-3, K. Nix's second game of action out in Puerto Rico, and 0-for-8 with 3 Ks so far at the plate. He did not have any errors at third base.
- Luis Valbuena - 2B, Cardenales de Lara: 2-for-3, R, 2B, RBI, BB, SB. Valbuena is hitting .343 (11-for-32) in his last ten games, and is actually having a nice showing in Venezuela with his plate discipline with 21 BB and 18 K in 114 at bats.
- Ezequiel Carrera - LF, Navegantes del Magallanes: 0-for-2, K. Carerra's third game back after a 10 day absence and still searching for his first hit in five games. Now 0-for-6 in last four games and just 6-for-31 (.194) in last ten.
- Asdrubal Cabrera - SS, Leones del Caracas: 1-for-5, R, K. Cabrera's fourth straight game with a hit, but still searching for his first multi-hit game out in Venezuela. Just 5-for-21 in first six games of winter ball action.
