- Luis Valbuena - 2B, Cardenales de Lara: 0-for-2, 4 R, 3 BB. Maybe it is a bit over-stated, but it is hard not to like what Valbuena is doing out in Venezuela from an on-base perspective. Yes, he is only hitting .222 in 51 games, but he also has a .355 on-base% thanks to a 34-25 walk to strikeout ratio. The high walk rate is nice to see, and if some of his hits start falling and finding holes, maybe he can still be a productive player next year for the Indians.
- Jayson Nix - 3B, Senadores de San Juan: 2-for-4, 3B, 2 RBI, K. After a very slow start, Nix is ending his time in Puerto Rico on a solid note as he is 5-for-15 in his last four games. In 12 games he is still only hitting .167/.239/.238.....ouch.
- Asdrubal Cabrera - SS, Leones del Caracas: 2-for-9, 2B, 3 R, K. Cabrera and his team played a doubleheader after a rainout on Wednesday. He has struggled a little of late going 2-for-14 in his last four games and with three hitless games in his last four.
