Around the Farm: December 21

Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Tuesday December 21st:
  • Jerad Head - RF, Gigantes de Carolina: 1-for-5, K. Head is stumbling to the finish line of the Puerto Rico Winter League. With the league regular season wrapping up next week his performance has been up and down of late. He recently had an 0-for-10 streak then followed that up going 6-for-10 in back to back games, and has since followed that up going 1-for-10 at the plate.
  • Jayson Nix - 3B, Senadores de San Juan: 1-for-4, RBI, K. Nix now with 11 put outs and 17 assists in the field to go along with 2 errors. His fielding percentage in limited time out in Puerto Rico is .933 (30 total chances, 2 2 errors).
  • Luis Valbuena - 2B, Cardenales de Lara: 1-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI, K. Valbuena came into the game in a 1-for-14 funk and is just 8-for-40 (.200) in his last 14 games.
