Here is the rundown of what Indians players in fall and winter ball did yesterday. The Dominican Winter League was off on Thursday as no games were scheduled and no Indians players played in the games on Thursday in Venezuela.
Arizona Fall League
- Chad Huffman (1B): 2-for-4, R, BB. Huffman breaks a 6-game 2-for-23 slump by getting on base three times. After walking with one out in the bottom of the 10th he was taken out for a pinch hitter.
- Jesus Aguilar (1B): 0-for-0. Aguilar did not start and was a late game defensive replacement after Huffman was lifted for a pinch runner.
- Roberto Perez (C): 4-for-5, R, 2B, HR, RBI. Wow, that’s just what the doctor ordered for Perez. He came into the game just 3-for-27 but busted out of his slump with arguably his best game of 2011.
- Preston Guilmet (RP): 2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. Guilmet is on sort of a mini-roll with two straight excellent outings going 3.1 shutout innings and allowing 2 hits, 0 walks, and with 2 strikeouts.
