Quick Notes on Offense:
After starting the week hot, the Lake County line-up started to fizzle as the week went on. This week, the team batting average was .254, and they scored 30 runs in seven games (4.28 runs per game).
Carlos Moncrief had his eight game hitting streak snapped on Tuesday night versus Great Lakes.
Shortstop Ronny Rodriguez currently had his six-game hitting streak snapped on Thursday night.
Catcher Alex Monslave and outfielder Levon Washington were held out of action this week.
Luigi Rodriguez made his Lake County debut this past week and has made quite an impression. The outfielder hit .348 after his call-up and has swiped a few bases. He is just what this struggling line-up needed.

Quick Notes on Pitching:
The Captains pitching staff posted a 4.42 ERA this past week. Not bad, but when your offense scores just under that mark (4.28 runs per game), it makes for many tough luck losses.
Speaking of tough-luck losses, Felix Sterling suffered one on Thurday night versus Great Lakes. Sterling gave up one earned run in five innings of work. Sterling went 1-1 on the week.
Reliever Joey Mahalic was steady out of the bullpen this week. Even though he walked five batters, he still posted a 1.80 ERA and only allowed one runner to score.
Pitcher of the Week:
Dale Dickerson
