Quick Notes on Offense:

Cleveland Indians Rightfielder Shin-Soo Choo was on a rehab assignment with the Captains this past week. Choo went 0/6 with a strikeout and an RBI.

The Captains offense this week was offensive. The team batted .211, scored only nine runs, and struckout 36 times in six games. The offense has continued to sprial downward as the season has progessed.

Second baseman Nick Bartolone had a good week at the plate. Bartolone stroked two doubles and scored three runs, while batting .286. He has been playing second base since Ronny Rodriguez arrived on the scene.

Quick Notes on Pitching:

The pitching staff did a great job this week keeping the Captains in the game (except for the 12-0 loss to Dayton). The staff posted a 3.33 ERA in 54 innings pitched. They struckout 42 and walked only 18 opposing players.

23rd Round Draft Pick Cody Allen made his Lake County debut this week. Allen was previously with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers of the New York-Penn League.

Kyle Blair is back with the Captains after a rehab assignment at the Indians' Player Development Complex in Arizona. Blair's knee had been bothering him and was placed on the disabled list back in June.
