Quick Notes on Pitching:

The Mike Goodnight “of old” returned on Wednesday night versus West Michigan. Goodnight went six scoreless innings. He allowed two hits, two walks and struck-out nine White Cap batters. He took a no-decision as the Captains lost in 13 innings.

Felix Sterling had two solid starts this week. The first game, he took the loss; the second game, he had a no-decision after the Captains lost in extra innings.

Cody Allen has been the backbone of the bullpen since his promotion from Mahoning Valley. In eight innings pitched this week, Allen allowed only two hits, struck-out 14, and did not allow a run to score. Cody was a 2011 draft pick, and is all ready making a splash in the organization.
