Smoke Signals 8/22: Getting swept edition

PROGRAMMING NOTE: Due to Paul being unable to do the show tonight, we have rescheduled it for 11:00 p.m. EST tomorrow (Tuesday 8/23).

Paul Cousineau and I are back on the cyberwaves tonight for some Cleveland Indians baseball talk with another edition of "Smoke Signals" from 11:00 - 11:30 p.m. EST.

Paul and I will talk about what turned out to be a disaster of a weekend for the Indians as they were swept in Motown by the Tigers. After a promising series win against the White Sox the starting pitching was beat up in the three games and the offense was lifeless until the 4th inning yesterday. We will discuss how devastating the sweep was or not was for the Indians, and look at a crucial 11-game homestand coming up where the Indians will now have to get on a roll that can hopefully carry them into a strong September finish.  We will also talk about the injuries which continue to mount up as Jason Kipnis was lost over the past few days and now Travis Hafner may be out awhile.
