Note: Brady was the ace for Clemson before a forearm injury forced him to miss over two months of baseball. He was dominant prior to the injury, with a K/BB ratio of 23/1, with a 1.10 ERA in 19 IP. He struggled after the injury out of the pen. His fastball sits in the low 90's, and he tops out at 95. He was a 44th round selection by the Orioles in 2008.

Jeff Ellis: Kevin Brady is a right handed pitcher from Clemson University. I would like to thank the Indians for finally drafting an easier to track player. Brady has fallen because after just four games he suffered a forearm strain and was on the shelf most of the year. Pre-injury Brady had his fastball peaking at 96 sitting at 92-94 and showing a 12-6 curve. He was a player who was rising before the injury. This pick is a risk because he is not only a sophomore but also has fallen much later than he expected a few months ago. He was a potential 2nd or 3rd rounder who fell to the 17th round, so he will not be an easy sign. It is nice to see the Indians take a risk on an arm that was rated much higher than his draft position who does have nice upside if he is indeed signed.
